42nd Annual
Northwest Indian Youth Conference

"The district Youth Council's have partnered with the Youth Development Program staff to coordinate the 2017 N.W.I.Y.C."

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation has graciously accepted the opportunity to be the host of the 42nd annual N.W.I.Y.C. We would like to take this opportunity to lead our younger generation in a positive and proactive manner by providing a youth conference unique and set apart. We will engage the youth in our customs, host various traditional events, team-building, pow wows and other activities in an effort to bring positive recognition to our culture and promote important initiatives for the youth in the Pacific Northwest Region.

We have invited outstanding educators, leaders, elders, mentors, professionals, and activists who have experience in motivating and leading our youth in areas of holistic wellness to provide exhilarating keynote lectures and breakout workshops.

Historically, the conference has been planned for high-school aged students please keep that in mind if you're deciding whether to register other aged youth. All attendees must be accompanied by a responsible registered chaperone. We have followed suit with the previously planned conferences and will be following the same guidelines.

The conference is set to begin Sunday, April 2nd and commence on Thursday, April 6th at Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop, WA.
