College Internship






2019 College Summer Internship

Colville Confederated Tribes Higher Education Department has Internship openings for summer 2019. We are seeking full time students pursuing a college degree. The minimum requirements to apply are as follows:

  • Enrolled Colville tribal member with proof of enrollment

  • Must be currently enrolled as a full time student attending a regionally accredited college or university; or be a senior in high school completing courses in Upward Bound, or Running Start and plan to attend college full-time in the fall.

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better and provide transcripts (can be unofficial)

  • Include a Letter of Intent.

    • Introduction and why you chose your area of study

    • Why you should be selected for the Internship

    • Your short and long-term career goals

    • How your education will benefit the Colville Confederated Tribes

  • Must complete a tribal job application- applications are located on the Colville tribal website; click the link, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click ‘other jobs’, next click ‘Tribal Jobs’ then complete the application. Where it asks for the job that you are applying for, write in ‘2019 Higher Education Summer Intern’.

  • Preference will be given to college Juniors, Seniors & Graduates. Selected candidates will be placed with a Tribal program within their area of study. Daily attendance at your place of employment is mandatory.

  • Deadline- April 26th for semester students and June 7th for quarter students. If selected, you must attend orientation on Monday, the 1st day of your employment in room 2-4 of the East Government Center at 7:30AM.
