I used to think that I had a better understanding of tribal sovereignty now I am learning that tribal sovereignty is much more complex and impacts every aspect that I can think of not only for tribal communities but all communities. I recognize my discomfort of learning about a topic that I thought I had an understanding and realize that I have the opportunity to learn much more and share with my team. The process of unlearning is hard but the outcome will be worth it.
